Managing volunteers, who are the most valuable asset of the Refood Movement, involves overseeing the entire process from inviting them to their reception, integration, service, and development, with the goal of maximizing the quality of their contributions to the Movement and the quality of each volunteer’s personal experience. Opportunities to invite new volunteers should be seized whenever they arise. It is essential to receive and guide new volunteers, integrate them into the schedule, and ensure the inclusion of all willing individuals who want to donate their time in support of Refood's mission. Monitoring volunteers should include managing records, control, and communication with all of them, covering their satisfaction and development as volunteers and/or volunteer managers in the Local Core. This follow-up is crucial to ensure that volunteers are well-integrated and engaged with the activities of the Core. Management should be interconnected, involving coordination with the Community Support Team and other managers to plan and execute volunteer recruitment actions. This includes participation in community events and events organized by the Local Core. Additionally, coordination with the National Core Executive Team of Volunteer Management & Training is required whenever the situation justifies it.
