The Friends of Inharrime Association - Portugal (AIP) is a non-profit NGDO, founded in August 2015, which supports and promotes the development of the community of Inharrime, through the Laura Vicuña Center. Its main focus is on children and their happiness. We exist to help improve the quality of life of the Mozambican people, contributing to the development of the population in a precarious situation, especially in the districts of Inharrime, Namaacha and Moatize. Our main areas of intervention are education and health, as they are fundamental pillars to promote the improvement of children's living conditions and happiness. We cooperate with the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian congregation). The 1-year vacancy for the international volunteer was opened due to the growing need for a permanent link between the Association in Portugal and the Inharrime, Namaacha and Moatize Centers in Mozambique The main functions will be:- Monitoring of the Sponsorship Program;  - Possible replication of the Program in other Centres;  - Support for existing projects and the creation of new projects;  - Support and interaction with in-house and semi-in-house children;  - Permanent reporting and communication with the Association in Portugal. Volunteering lasts for 1 year, starting in June 2024. It is planned to follow up for 1 month with the Annual Volunteer currently in Mozambique. The expenses of the round trip, together with a personal accident insurance, are borne by the Association. The Association will also bear the costs of the document necessary to stay in the country for one year.    To which will be added a symbolic monthly amount for communications and transport expenses. The volunteer has free accommodation and food at the Center where he will be allocated and the others where he may have to travel.
