Since 1998, Humana's Association has been promoting environmental protection by selling reused clothing in over 20 stores in Portugal. The proceeds from these sales are used to fund cooperation projects in more than ten countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
We believe that the involvement of international volunteers significantly contributes to our mission of fighting inequalities. Therefore, we are offering a 10-month International Volunteer Program, which includes the following:
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
• 3 months: Training on cooperation and development at the Lindersvold School in Denmark.
• 6 months: Volunteering in a Humana project in Malawi, Zambia, or India.
• 1 month: Reflection and awareness in Denmark.
Scholarship Plan:
We offer a Scholarship Plan that covers up to 85% of the total program cost, amounting to €3,000. For more information, please contact us via email at portugal@humanavolunteers.org.
What does this program offer?
• Global perspective: Enhance your understanding of global challenges and contribute to a more just and sustainable world.
• Cultural immersion: Live and learn from a new culture, fostering empathy and understanding.
• Community life: Develop essential social skills, such as communication and conflict resolution, while building strong relationships.
Upcoming editions:
• 2025: January, April, August, and October
If you are ready to take on a long-term, high-impact challenge, do not hesitate to contact us for more information and join us in this transformative mission.
